I know what you're thinking: "A t-shirt, dressy? What?". But believe it or not, it is actually very in style right now. Personally, I usually despise t-shirts because I love being all fancy; however, pairing it with a skirt and a nice blazer, now that's something I'm willing to work with.
As you can see in the picture, the shirt is a good neutral color with words, something like this is a perfect asset to use for this particular style. But this t-shirt can range from a band shirt, a V-neck, and even a striped t-shirt. Just pick something that can go with various other items in your wardrobe, which brings me to the next step in achieving this look.
I matched this plain top with a sparkling blazer. Wearing a shirt with a blazer and styling it with jeans is a perfect look if you want to reach more of a dressy casual look. But of course, knowing me, I wanted to jazz it up a bit! So, I completed this ensemble with a red flower print skirt and then added a red statement necklace to make it all fancy :).
